Open Word Office document (.docx) with Google Docs
Step 1: Go to the Google Drive website (yes, Google Drive) and sign in with your Google account. We must first log in to Google Drive, since we must first load the Office Word document into Google Drive in order to access it from Google Docs.

Step 2: Now, click on the New button (as shown in the image) and then click on the Upload file option. Select the Word file you want to open and edit with Google Docs and click on the Open button.
